Dr. Dennis Law
President, CAPNA, Inc.
Dr. Dennis Law graduated from Colorado State School of Veterinary Medicine in 1982 in the top 2% of his class. He is the Medical Director and practice owner of Cottonwood Animal Hospital, and Mountain View Animal Hospital, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Cottonwood Animal Hospital in particular was awarded Hospital of the Year by Veterinary Economics. He is past President of the Salt Lake Veterinary Medical Association and Past President of the Veterinary Orthopedic Society. He served as a board member of the Utah Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Law has a special interest in orthopedic surgery.
Dr. Al Pagani
Senior Vice President
Dr. Al Pagani graduated from University of Parma, Italy in 1978 and completed his ECFVG certification at the University of Pennsylvania-College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980. He is the Medical Director and co-owner of Ocean County Veterinary Hospital and Fischer Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey. Dr. Pagani has served as past vice president and treasurer of the Jersey Shore Veterinary Medical Association. In addition Dr. Pagani serves as the liaison to the National Association of Veterinary Technicians for the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association. He is a co-founder of Ocean Pet Caring Foundation whose vision is to provide veterinary care for sick or injured pets even when they have been abandoned or their owners are experiencing financial hardship. The Foundation also supports various pet adoption programs throughout New Jersey.
Dr. Sandra Seamans
ABVP, Vice President of Operations
Dr. Sandy Seamans graduated from Louisiana State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1983 first in her class. She is co-owner of Lexington Boulevard Animal Hospital in Sugarland Texas. Previously, Dr. Seamans was a medical technologist, section head of the Hematology/Coagulation and Immunology/Serology Department at Earl K. Long teaching hospital in Baton Rouge, LA. Dr. Seamans has lectured extensively in practice management topics with a focus on building quality staff ‘teams’ in a Veterinary setting.
Dr. Daniel Brod
Vice President of Strategic Partners
Dr. Dan Brod graduated from Kansas State University in 1983 He started Deer Creek Animal Hospital in Littleton, Colorado with his current partner in 1984 where it has since grown to an 11 full time doctor practice with part time specialties. It is the largest general practice in the Denver area. Dr. Brod has a special interest in orthopedic surgery and diagnostic ultrasound. Dr. Brod and his practice have achieved special recognition as a practice group dedicated to developing and teaching progressive medical techniques in both surgery and internal medicine.
Dr. Neal Beeber
DABVP, Treasurer
Dr. Neal Beeber graduated from Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine in1983. He is currently the practice owner and medical director at Rutherford Animal Hospital, Little Falls Animal Hospital, and Cats Exclusive Veterinary Hospital in New Jersey. Dr. Beeber achieved Board Certification in Companion Animal Medicine in 1991. He has served as past president of the Board of Medical Examiners, and as past president of the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association. He was awarded the Veterinarian of the Year Award by the NJVMA in 1996 and 1997. He currently serves as the treasurer of NJVMA.
Dr. Thomas Gus

Dr. Tom Gus graduated from the University of California Davis-College of Veterinary Medicine in 1980 and is the practice owner and Medical Director of University Animal Hospital, Tempe, Arizona. University Animal Hospital has achieved special recognition as an award recipient in both the Practice Of The Year and Practice Of Excellence. Dr. Gus served in the United States Army in 1970 through 1972 in the Republic of Viet Nam. He currently serves as a Committee member on the AAHA Member Benefits Committee.
Dr. Steven Taylor
ACVIM, Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Steve Taylor graduated from Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 1972.He is currently the co- practice owner and Medical Director of Lexington Boulevard Animal Hospital in Sugarland, Texas. Dr. Taylor achieved his Boarded Certification in Internal Medicine in 1982. In addition he received his certification in Veterinary acupuncture in 2001. Dr. Taylor served as a base Veterinarian at the Tainan Air Force Base in Tainan, Taiwan from 1973 to 1975.
Dr Taylor has served on the Texas Veterinary Medical Association, Committee on Alternative Medicine and the HCVMA as past president. Dr. Taylor is active in various local fundraising activities in the Sugarland community.
Owen McCafferty
CPA, CVPM, FACFEI, CFF, Chief Financial Officer
Owen E. McCafferty graduated from Xavier University in1974.He earned his CPA license in 1976, his CVPM certificate in 1993, DABFA status in 1997, and membership in ACFE in 1997. In addition he achieved recognition and status as a Fellow in the ACFEI in 2007. Owen recently achieved certification in Financial Forensics (CFF) by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. McCafferty is the CEO and Owner of Owen McCafferty, CPA, Inc., with locations in Cleveland Ohio, Las Vegas Nevada, and Jacksonville, Florida. Owen has acquired non- resident CPA licenses in South Carolina, Nevada, Georgia, Texas, and Kentucky, in addition to the State of Ohio. Mr. McCafferty has written and published over 150 articles on numerous topics related to finance, taxation, and practice management within the Veterinary profession. He has delivered over 300 lectures to many diverse audiences nationally and internationally. He served as past president of the Veterinary Practice Managers Association from 1993 to 1994.Mr. McCafferty has most recently received the Pioneer Award, presented in 2008 by the Association of Veterinary Practice Management Consultants. In addition he has been awarded the Lifetime Honorary Membership in the Veterinary Practice Managers Association of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. He was the recipient of the AAHA “Recognition of Contributions toward the Betterment of the American Animal Hospital Association in 1988.
